    Why work with me

I work alongside leading chartered accountants, mortgage and business brokers, and commercial lawyers in Wellington. Your finance, tax, legal, and strategic advice can be coordinated as one joined-up process rather than in silos. You can bring your own advisors, or I can introduce specialists where gaps exist.

    About Akash

    My background

I'm a strategic finance and business expansion advisor based in Wellington. I help growth-stage SME owners make smarter financial decisions, secure growth capital, and scale responsibly. I combine advanced corporate finance training, international business experience, and hands-on ownership of multi-site ventures.

My Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration with Merit, from Massey University, specialises in corporate finance and accounting. This advanced training, combined with undergraduate studies in Switzerland, gives me a global perspective grounded in rigorous financial analysis.

    Banking and leverage expertise

As a former Business Banking Manager and Assistant Business Manager at ANZ, I reviewed and approved credit for a wide range of SMEs. I understand how banks assess financial risk, what they look for in proposals, and how to structure facilities that work for both lender and borrower.

Key strengths: Deep understanding of leverage, serviceability, risk ratios, and capital structure. Experience across multiple SME sectors. Ability to help you prepare proposals that banks take seriously and advise whether the numbers actually stack up.

    Multi-site operations and ownership

I've held director roles in multi-site ventures, managing P&L, staffing, capital expenditure, and growth initiatives. I've turned around underperforming sites and overseen operational upgrades. This hands-on experience means I understand the gap between what financial statements show and what actually happens day to day.

    International expansion and mentoring

I mentor business owners with NZ business support organisations, helping them clarify strategy, strengthen financials, and plan growth and international expansion—especially into India. My undergraduate education in Switzerland combined with hands-on business experience gives me a practical, global perspective on market entry and risk.

Based in Wellington, I work closely with leading CAs, brokers, and commercial lawyers so clients receive cohesive advice across finance, tax, legal, and strategy—not siloed recommendations.
